Teaching

Felicity enjoys teaching immensely at her home in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, providing in person or online lessons.  Since the pandemic Felicity has grown her online teaching and teaches pupils across the globe.  Felicity teaches the harp, flute, piano and music theory.

Felicity teaches all ages from 4-70 upwards!  Harp lessons at Felicity’s home take place on either a pedal harp or smaller lever harp, you don’t need to bring your instrument along with you.  Felicity is more than happy to advise on renting or purchasing a harp from new or second hand.  She began renting harps to pupils in 2009 and has grown her harp hire business along with her husband.

Her students have been successful in music festivals, competitions and A-Level and GCSE performances. Felicity has experience preparing students for music scholarships and entry into Junior Programmes at London Music Colleges.  Most pupils sit either ABRSM or Trinity exams but Felicity understands that not all students want to sit exams and she is able to help set goals in other ways so students can have a good sense of progression whilst learning with her.

In 2022 Felicity hosted her first harp day for her pupils with her old teacher, Eira Lynn Jones.  Thirteen pupils attended and participated in a masterclass, ensemble work and a concert at the end of the day.  Felicity is planning a 2024 harp day and pupils of all abilities will be invited to attend.
